The collection is made with marble. As it is a natural product, variations in tone, colour, granularity and pattern my occur. Because of this, the sample may not exactly match a slab or fi nished product. One of the key characteristics of natural travertine is the holes and pits gracing the surface and inside of the stone. These random holes present in natural travertine are considered normal characteristics of this stone and therefore not defects.
Product sizes may vary up to 2 cm.

1. Does the "floating" appearance of the top sacrifice surface weight capacity? Not at all. Despite the elegant, fluid lines that give the Catus its "weightless" look, the internal structural support is designed to handle significant vertical pressure. You can confidently display heavy bronze sculptures, large-scale ceramic vases, or substantial lighting fixtures. The weight of the stone itself actually increases its stability, preventing the "vibration" often felt with thinner, lightweight metal or wood consoles.
2. How do I protect the stone from "ring marks" from vases or drinks?
Natural marble is porous, meaning liquids can seep in and leave "etch" marks. We pre-seal every Catus Console, but for the best protection, we recommend using coasters or felt-bottomed trays for any décor that holds water. If a spill occurs, blot it immediately—never wipe, as wiping can spread the liquid further into the stone's pores.
3. Can I use this in a high-traffic hallway with kids or pets?
The Catus is surprisingly durable due to its solid construction, but its "open" base design means it has less surface area to catch dust than a traditional boxy console. Since it has no sharp, 90-degree corners at eye level for pets or children, it’s actually a safer choice for busy thoroughfares. Its weight also makes it nearly impossible for a dog or child to accidentally knock over.
4. Does the table require professional assembly upon delivery?
Because the Catus is a monolithic stone piece, it is extremely heavy. We strictly require White Glove Delivery for this item. Our specialized team will handle the uncrating, inspection, and precise placement in your room. You won't need to lift a finger or worry about the logistics of moving several hundred pounds of marble through your doorway.
5. What happens if the stone gets a scratch or a dull spot over time?
One of the best features of natural stone is that it is "renewable". Unlike veneers or laminates that are ruined once scratched, solid marble can be professionally re-polished. If the surface becomes dull after years of use, a stone care professional can buff the table back to its original factory shine, making this a true heirloom piece that can be refreshed indefinitely.
