Can the chaise be moved to either the left or right side? Yes. Because the Carmel is fully modular, the chaise can be positioned on either the left or right end to fit your room's layout. You can also separate the modules entirely to create a standalone lounge chair and a smaller sofa if your spatial needs change.

What are the dimensions of the chaise section? The chaise is designed for deep-seated lounging, extending further than the standard middle modules to provide ample legroom. It maintains the same 16-inch low-profile seat height as the rest of the Carmel Collection for a seamless, architectural look.

How do the pieces stay connected on a hardwood floor? Each module is equipped with heavy-duty interlocking connectors that "click" the pieces into place, preventing them from sliding apart. Additionally, the base is designed to be sturdy and grounded, ensuring the sofa stays put even in high-traffic areas.

Is the "soft geometry" design firm or soft? The Carmel offers a "structured cloud" experience. While the rounded edges and plush upholstery give it a soft appearance, the high-density foam core provides a supportive, medium-firm sit that holds its architectural shape over time without sagging.

Can I add more pieces to this configuration later? Absolutely. If you move to a larger space, you can order additional middle or corner modules from the Marie Burgos Collection to expand your Carmel with Chaise into a larger U-shaped or L-shaped sectional.

What is the best way to clean the textured fabric? We recommend regular light vacuuming with a soft brush attachment to remove dust. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Because this is a luxury investment piece, professional upholstery cleaning is recommended annually to maintain the fabric's integrity.
